Temporary coating of optical lenses
Processing of optical lenses always involves a risk of scratching the valuable glass surfaces and thus making them useless. To prevent this, the lenses must be temporarily protected by a hard-wearing coating especially during cutting. Residue-free removal of this coating after processing is a must.
Such temporary coating is possible with BELLAND® liquid polymer.
The liquefied polymer, which forms a film, is easy to apply to the glass surface. After drying, a scratch-proof coat is formed that protects the glass.
Following processing, the coating is removed gently and residue-free in an alkaline bath.
